The X-Tend Distance Feeder rod series is part of the top-tier ESSENTIAL range from the French manufacturer Garbolino. It is available in two length versions: 12-13ft (3.6m – 3.9m) and 13-14ft (3.9m – 4.2m). This series of rods is designed for long-distance fishing and has been completely redesigned, featuring the latest technologies and components. They are now even lighter and better balanced, with new lengths offered to anglers. Garbolino ensured the development of very powerful rods considering the distance, but with a softer tip to prevent hook pulls during the vital stage of the fight. The strong lower and central sections allow for easy achievement of the necessary distances. It also includes a hook keeper ring and three carbon tips to aid in quick fishing adjustments.

These rods are designed to cast easily over long distances, yet they are quite versatile due to their action, which is soft in the upper part and allows the use of thinner lines, while the middle and lower parts of the rod provide the necessary power for long casts. They come with a 30cm extension for situations where an extra meter of distance is needed. The extension is easy and quick to install without removing the line through the rod rings.

The extremely modular carbon blank is equipped with Sea Guide K-Frame rings in Gunsmoke Grey with generous diameters that positively influence casting distances, allowing smooth line sliding, eliminating the risk of unwanted loops, and favoring the protection of monofilament lines. The WeBo DPS reel seat with a classic screw-in system is compatible with most reel feet from various manufacturers on the market, and the handle is covered in A-Grade Cork and EVA, featuring three flat sections that provide a perfect contact area with the forearm, allowing excellent maneuverability during the fight.

This new ESSENTIAL X-Tend Distance model benefits from the new SUPERFLEX tips with a diameter of 2.9mm, each individually coded by color to indicate their power (the supplied tips are all made of carbon with powers of 0.75, 1, and 1.50oz). With this technology, the tip is now very sensitive, allowing successful bite indication, yet very resistant during casts and when dealing with larger carp bites.
